La Cueva de Zulema y sus leyendas
La mayoría de los pueblos poseen en sus territorios cuevas que, con frecuencia, están unidas a leyendas y a acontecimientos milenarios. Alcalá no podía ser la excepción de esa tradición popular. Sus cerros y picos encierran más de una fábula.
Uno de los cerros que rodean a Alcalá es el de San Juan del Viso. En su ladera sur se encuentra la cueva de Zulema, cuya entrada la oculta un gran peñasco que, según la leyenda, vigila el acceso a un subterráneo, por el que se llega a un impresionante y mágico palacio. Dicho palacio, capaz de contener una armería, está repleto de las más suntuosas riquezas y tesoros que mente alguna pueda concebir.
Según la tradición, hacia el año 1700, personas provenientes de Andalucía llegaron a Alcalá diciendo que conocían de buena fuente la ubicación y los planos del codiciado palacio. Durante días prepararon una exploración. El que comandaba el grupo entabló contacto en la posada donde se hospedaba, con un anciano que le explicó cómo, hace años, un joven también inició la aventura, perdiéndose en la cueva y sin que jamás nadie volviese a saber nada de él. Esto, y unas averiguaciones que, al enterarse, había iniciado la Santa Inquisición, llenaron de un temor irracional al andaluz. Temor que transmitió, abandonando a hurtadillas, esa misma noche, la ciudad.
Cierta o no la historia, nadie más ha intentado esclarecer el misterio que rodea la cueva, y si lo han intentado, mucho nos tememos que la búsqueda haya sido infructuosa.
The Cave of Zulema and its legends
Most territories have caves, which are frequently joined to legends and millinery events. Alcalá is not an exception of this popular tradition. Its hills and peaks hide more than one story.
One of the hills that surround Alcalá is San Juan del Viso. In its southern slope we find the cave of Zulema, whose entrance is hidden by a huge crag that, as the legend goes, guards the access to a tunnel which leads to an incredible magic palace. This palace, with enough capacity to contain an armory, is full of the most magnificent richness that any person could imagine.
Around 1700, some people from Andalusia arrived in Alcalá, saying that they knew from reliable sources the location and the plans of the coveted palace. They spent some days planning the exploration. During the days he lived in the inn, the person in charge contacted with an elderly man who told him the story of a young man. According to this legend, the boy began the adventure and got lost in the cave; no one heard of him ever again. This story and other inquiries the Spanish Inquisition had made filled the Andalucian with irrational fear. He would spread this fear over the city when he sneaked out of it at night.
Being this story true or not, no one has ever tried to clarify the mystery enveloping the cave; and if someone ever tried it, we are afraid to say that the search has been unsuccessful.
La grotte de Zulema et ses légendes
La plupart des territoires possèdent des grottes qui sont liées très souvent à des légendes et des événements historiques millénaires. Alcalá ne pourrait pas être l’exception à cette tradition populaire. Ses collines et ses monts cachent plus d’une fable.
L’une des collines qui entourent Alcalá, c’est celui de San Juan el Viso. Sur la pente sud, on trouve la grotte de Zulema, dont l’entrée est cachée par un énorme rocher qui, selon la légende, garde l’accès à un souterrain qui mène à un impressionnant et magique palais. Ce palais, qui a la capacité suffisante pour garder un arsenal, est replet de nombreuses richesses et de nombreux trésors difficiles à imaginer.
Selon la tradition, vers l’année 1700, des gens venant d’Andalousie sont arrivés à Alcalá et ils ont assuré qu’ils connaissaient parfaitement l’emplacement de source certain et les plans du convoité palais. Pendant quelques jours, ils ont préparé une exploration. Pendant son séjour à l’auberge, l’homme responsable de l’exploration a connu un vieil homme qui lui a raconté l’histoire d’un autre homme qui avait commencé aussi une aventure. Il s’est perdu dans la grotte et personne n’a jamais entendu parler de lui. Ces histoires et les enquêtes effectuées par l’Inquisition ont fait peur l’Andalou. C’est pour cela qu’il était si effrayé qu’il a abandonné cette nuit-là la ville.
Bien que cette histoire soit vraie ou pas, personne n’a jamais essayé de clarifier le mystère de la grotte. Peut-être qu’ils l’ont déjà essayé mais ils n’ont pas réussi.

Большинство населённых пунктов имеют на своей территории пещеры, которые зачастую связаны с легендами и тысячелетними событиями. Aлкала не могла быть исключением из этой народной традиции. Её холмы и вершины скрывают не одну интригу.
Один из холмов, окружающих Алкала, — Сан-Хуан-дель-Визо (San Juan del Viso). На его южном склоне находится пещера Сулема, вход в которую скрывает большой утес, который, по преданию, охраняет доступ к подземелью, что ведёт к впечатляющему и волшебному дворцу. Этот дворец, способный вместить арсенал оружия, полон самых роскошных богатств и сокровищ, какие только можно себе представить.
Согласно истории, в 1700 году, люди из Андалузии, прибывшие в Алкалу, говорили, что хорошо знали расположение и планы желанного дворца. В течение нескольких дней они готовились к разведке. Командир группы познакомился в гостинице, в которой он останавливался, со старцем, и тот рассказал ему, как много лет назад один юноша тоже начал приключение, заблудился в пещере, и с тех пор уже никто ничего о нём не слышал. Этот факт, а также некоторые расследования, к которым, узнав об этом, приступила Святая Инквизиция (la Santa Inquisición), наполнили андалузца безрассудным страхом. Этот страх он распространил по городу, который тайно оставил в ту же ночь.
Правдивая эта история или нет, но уже никто не пытался прояснить тайну, что таится вокруг пещеры, и если кто-то и пробовал это сделать, то мы опасаемся, что поиски были безрезультатными.
